About the skill

short-stil-greg-isenberg

Takes a topic/thesis and (if available) talking-head + screen-recording footage and produces a 1080×1920 / 30fps vertical short in the Greg Isenberg "clearly explained" builder aesthetic. The output is a production package that can be fed directly into the Remotion StilDocumentary composition: a full timestamped script, on-screen text cues, a shot list table, and a render command.

The signature language is built on a cold, authority-grade dark background with a single cool-teal accent: a "[X], clearly explained" lower-third at the open, a delegated-authority name card that hands authority over to the guest, a screen-demo anchor that proves the claim (a real tool/screen recording, slow zoom), a tier-list / versus comparison, and an anti-panic gain close (an opportunity frame, not a fear-of-loss one). The pace is measured (3-5 sec beats); there is no ALL-CAPS hype, no red/alarm, and no panic CTA.

When to use it: when explaining a new AI tool/concept ("everyone's talking about X but..."), in an "I built X in N min" demo, or in tier-list/versus content like "Bolt vs Cursor vs Replit." For explainer shorts that want a builder-collective community tone and a gain-dominant message.

Output: a Markdown production package — hook (0-3s), timestamped script, on-screen text cue list, and shot list table. The render backbone is the shared Remotion project; the skill does not write new .tsx, it applies a grammar override.

How do I use this skill?

You don't "run" a skill — after installing it you just tell the agent your task (e.g. ask for the relevant job), and the skill kicks in by itself when its description matches.

Upload the short-stil-greg-isenberg.zip you downloaded as-is — no packaging needed, the format is already correct (folder at root).

  1. Open Settings → Customize → Skills
  2. Upload → select the short-stil-greg-isenberg.zip you downloaded
  3. Claude reads SKILL.md; the name + description appear. Ready ✅
