About the skill

What it does

The Programmatic SEO Page Builder produces a full generation package for SEO pages at scale from a repeating search pattern: opportunity analysis, playbook selection, a page template (URL + title + meta + content skeleton + schema), and a pre-launch QA checklist. It avoids the "swap the city name, keep everything else" trap by making every page carry unique value and steering clear of Google's thin-content / doorway penalties.

The core logic rests on three components: (1) a repeatable keyword pattern, (2) a structured dataset that differentiates each page, and (3) a template that genuinely answers search intent for every variation. Data defensibility is scored on a hierarchy: proprietary (strongest) > product-derived > user-generated > licensed > public (weakest). Weak data = copyable = thin-content risk.

When to use it

  • Targeting hundreds/thousands of similar pages across different keywords or locations ("[service] in [city]", "[X] vs [Y]", "[product] for [audience]", "[A] [B] integration").
  • When you have (or can acquire) a structured dataset that differentiates each page.
  • When you want to aggregate long-tail demand into a large addressable volume.
  • Not for auditing existing pages (use seo-audit), content calendars (content-strategy), or schema markup alone (schema skill).

Method / frameworks

  • 12-Playbook matrix — Templates, Curation, Conversions, Comparisons, Examples, Locations, Personas, Integrations, Glossary, Translations, Directory, Profiles, chosen via a "what you have → which playbook" map and layerable (e.g. "best coworking in San Diego" = Locations × Curation).
  • Data-defensibility hierarchy — 5 tiers determining how copyable a page is, and thus its SEO durability.
  • Aggregate-demand validation — 50+ variations per pattern, ~10-20+ searches per variation, total addressable-volume threshold (industry benchmark ~5,000+/mo).
  • Hub-and-spoke internal linking — hub category page + spoke programmatic pages + cross-links between related spokes; no orphan pages, XML sitemap, breadcrumb schema.
  • Indexation strategy — prioritize high volume, noindex very thin variations, manage crawl budget, split sitemaps by page type, staged/pilot-batch rollout.
  • Uniqueness & penalty-avoidance checklist — unique value + ~30-40% differentiation + ~500+ unique-word threshold per page; doorway / keyword-stuffing / duplicate / cannibalization checks.

How do I use this skill?

You don't "run" a skill — after installing it you just tell the agent your task (e.g. ask for the relevant job), and the skill kicks in by itself when its description matches.

Upload the programmatic-seo.zip you downloaded as-is — no packaging needed, the format is already correct (folder at root).

  1. Open Settings → Customize → Skills
  2. Upload → select the programmatic-seo.zip you downloaded
  3. Claude reads SKILL.md; the name + description appear. Ready ✅
