About the skill

Brand Name Neuroscience

An analysis tool that evaluates a brand, community, product, or channel name not by the "sounds nice" instinct but with evidence-based cognitive and linguistic frameworks, and, when needed, generates a name through reverse engineering from the desired associations.

What it does

It breaks candidate names down into a 0-5 scorecard across 9 frameworks: processing fluency (Alter & Oppenheimer), von Restorff/distinctiveness, Ehrenberg-Bass distinctiveness, the Keller CBBE pyramid, sound symbolism/phonetics (bouba-kiki), the phonological loop/chunking, concreteness-imageability, and brand architecture (branded house vs. house of brands). In addition, it checks the .ai vs .com TLD signal, the founder-name vs concept-name trade-off, TR+EN pronunciation/meaning pitfalls, and domain/handle availability.

When to use it

When searching for a new brand/community/product/channel/domain name; when deciding between two candidates; on the "personal brand or concept brand" question; or when diagnosing why a name that didn't stick failed to stick.

Output

A markdown report: the brand architecture decision (personal/community/hybrid) + rationale, a scorecard table (candidates × 10 criteria + total), the winner + 2 backups (with a domain/handle action for each), the winner's one-sentence invitation test, and pronunciation/diacritic/collision/meaning red flags. Every judgment is anchored to a framework; domain claims are verified.

How do I use this skill?

You don't "run" a skill — after installing it you just tell the agent your task (e.g. ask for the relevant job), and the skill kicks in by itself when its description matches.

Upload the marka-isim-norobilim.zip you downloaded as-is — no packaging needed, the format is already correct (folder at root).

  1. Open Settings → Customize → Skills
  2. Upload → select the marka-isim-norobilim.zip you downloaded
  3. Claude reads SKILL.md; the name + description appear. Ready ✅
