About the skill

What it does

The BPO Business-Development Opportunity Scanner reviews a call-center / WFM account portfolio and surfaces where each customer has an upsell, cross-sell or contract-expansion opportunity — not as a sales wish, but as a prioritized list anchored to the operation's real numbers. Every opportunity is tied with evidence to signals like volume, AHT, SL, occupancy, FCR and contract utilization, plus a customer-health indicator.

It works in two layers. First, operation → opportunity conversion via threshold rules (e.g. occupancy < ~75% with SL above target → spare capacity → "take more volume"; FCR < ~70% → QA/WFM upsell; only one channel filled → cross-sell). Then each candidate passes a weighted rubric (Delivery confidence 30%, Expansion signal 25%, Commercial value 20%, Evidence strength 15%, Ease of rollout 10%) producing a 0-100 Opportunity Score and a verdict: ≥75 "Hot", 55-74 "Nurture", 35-54 "Wait", <35 / red SL "Stabilize first".

When to use it

  • "Where is the growth in this portfolio?", "Which account has an upsell?", "How do we grow customer X?"
  • Deciding which add-on service to pitch ahead of a contract renewal.
  • When you have operational + commercial data for one customer or a 5-20 account portfolio and need a risk + opportunity + priority call.
  • Not for pure "how many FTEs" capacity questions — that belongs to the capacity planner.

Method / frameworks

The scanner rests on six named frameworks fusing the BPO account-expansion canon with operational WFM evidence: NRR / GRR (accounts below 100% defend before they grow), White-Space Mapping (channel × "ours / competitor / not outsourced" matrix — empty cells are opportunities), MEDDICC (an opportunity missing Metric + Pain + Champion is flagged "raw", never fabricated), RICE (Reach × Impact × Confidence / Effort as the single ranking score, so low-confidence hype can't jump the queue), a COPC / Service-Level evidence layer (delivery confidence first — no expansion into a chronically breaching account) and a Value-Based Pricing + NPV/IRR anchor. Sector norms are calibrated from COPC literature: voice occupancy ~75-85%, average FCR ~71%, balanced SL/ASA/abandon. All numeric inputs pass unit/range validation, and per KVKK no personal data leaks into the output.
